Fix QBWin.log: LVL_ERROR-error: Verify Account List Item: View Out Of Sequence

Solution 1: Manually Fix the Damaged Accounts

  • Right-clicking on the account name then click on Edit Account to fix the account
  • To return a subaccount to the main account or to make the main account into a subaccount, you have to check for subaccount in the checkbox
  • Choose the appropriate Account Type only if the Subaccount of checkbox is marked or selected from the drop-down menu next to the checkbox
  • Click on the OK key
  • Repeat the first three steps until all your affected accounts are not settled
  • Rebuild and Verify your data to ensure that your damage is fixed. If not then move to the next solution

Solution 2: Rebuild and Verify your File

1. Rebuild

  • Click on Utilities > Rebuild Data from the File menu
  • When it asks to back up the file, then click on the OK button
  • Wait for a few seconds once the message prompts Rebuild has been completed appears, click on the OK button

2. Verify

  • Click on Utilities > Rebuild Data from the File menu
  • When the message showed “QuickBooks detected no problem with your data”, click on the OK button. If QuickBooks has been detected the same problem after verifying, then move to perform the next solution.

Solution 3: Re-sort List

  • Reach to the Lists menu and then click on charts of Accounts
  • Click on Re-sort list from the left bottom  Account drop-down menu
  • When the prompt displays, just click on the Yes option

Note: Now all your accounts will be re-sorted in their original order

  • It’s time to check that all your main accounts types are grouped properly such as all your income accounts are listed consecutively and much more
  • If you’re unable to group the account types properly, such as other current assets shown as a subaccount of an Income account or subaccounts shows as the main accounts, now go through solution 1 to manually fixing the accounts.
